Reconstructing Judge Eaton's house

Judge Eaton's house is located at 1520 West Street, Redding.  It was purchased by the parents of his mother Edna Behrens Eaton in 1899 and has been the home of three generations of the Behrens and Eaton families since.  Richard Behrens Eaton moved into the house as a 3-year old child in 1918 and lived there until his death in 2003. 

According to the instructions of Judge Eaton's will, the house is to become The Behrens-Eaton House Museum.  This page will chronicle the reconstruction of his historic house from the time I took the photo shown below in 2006, up to its final reconstruction.

May 13, 2010.  Those are the original windows Frank Cain is seen working on in the previous photo.  Nice to see Judge Eaton's house shaping up once again.
